MediaBroadcaster—Live IP broadcasting and streaming TV channels
MediaBroadcasters are high-performance, hardware-based video and audio encoders. They convert video and/or audio sources into digital streaming format in real-time. These devices can be configured to encode into most industry-standard formats including Windows Media, Flash Video, QuickTime, Real and MPEG based on your requirements and specific viewing audience.
MediaBroadcasters are used to create video channels that are viewable live over the IP network and Internet. You can simultaneously capture the live events for on-demand viewing. A wide range of applications exist for using video content to communicate, train and entertain. Make your videos accessible from any PC browser and push video content to LCD and plasma displays using our media decoders. (see MediaCAST Viewer)

Enhance staff development opportunities and results
Introduce new initiatives to all staff simultaneously, without the expense and time of driving to a central location. For example, use a live video feed of an instructor, along with Desktop Share, to train many people around the world on the use of your unique software applications.
MediaBroadcasters can simultaneously broadcast video live while capturing it for on-demand viewing. Along with MediaCAST, live digital content feeds can be pushed up to Media Appliances and split-streamed and multicast for widescale on-demand, unicast or multicast deployments.
MediaBroadcasters are available in several varieties including single-channel, dual-channel, desktop encoder and cart-mounted configurations. A range of industry-standard formats are supported giving organizations the flexibility to choose the quality, resolutions and file types to meet their needs. Multi-bitrate streaming provides an unsurpassed ability to support viewing on your network and concurrently over the Internet. HD (high definition) models are now available for those high resolution applications. MediaBroadcasters come standard with built-in hard drives for content capture and are available with redundant, hot-swappable drives and redundant power for your mission-critical applications.
MediaCAST's Web Control and Scheduler simplifies management of encoders across your network. Browser-based scheduling and encoder control tools allow multiple jobs to be set up in advance with preset starts and stops. Remote monitoring, usage monitoring and reporting features help IT staff accomplish a wide range of encoding tasks more efficiently. Built-in integration of IR (infrared) and RS-232 control allows authorized users to remotely control VHS decks, DVD decks, cable signal tuners, satellite receivers and other A/V equipment from within the user interface and across the network and Internet.
